Speech & Language Therapy

EARLY INTERVENTION

About me

Early intervention is my passion. I absolutely love working with the infant, toddler, and preschool populations, particularly language delay and speech sound difficulties, and it has been my pleasure working with youngsters and their families, previously in the United States and currently in Canada, for 30 years now...

Speech Sound Disorders

For children aged 3 to 5 who are having difficulties with their speech sounds.

Therapy sessions will occur:

  • outdoors where it is safest (e.g. a covered pavilion at a park or alternatively at your home if you have a covered outdoor space such as a deck or carport)

  • using safety precautions such as hand sanitizing, disinfectant wipes. I will be wearing a transparent mask and use my portable plexiglass shield. We will distance as much as possible.

My Services

During COVID-19

Language Delay

Mobile coaching to support parents of children under age 3 who are having difficulties understanding or using words to express themselves.

Consultations

Not ready or unsure if you would like an assessment at this time? Do you have questions about your child's communication skills or simply want some direction and strategies on how you can work on speech and language skills at home?

You may have questions about your child learning two or more languages? Or, has your child had speech therapy before and you would like ideas on how to maintain their skills?

I will be happy to answer any question you  may have and provide you with information, resources, book suggestions, tips and strategies to help you help your child.

Alternatively, I can offer to develop a detailed home program tailored to your child's needs, which will provide you with guidance and tools to help your child at home.

HOW TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT

1. Please fill out below “Contact Me” form to request a free 15 minute phone consultation. I will contact you as soon as I can so that I can hear your concerns and best determine your needs, and to determine if an assessment is needed (assessments are a required first step unless you can provide an assessment that has been conducted within the last 6 months).

2. Once we have booked a date together on the phone, go to the FORMS section of the website, and I will advise you which ones to download and send back to me. Once completed and signed please send the  forms back to my email vcundiff@bumblebeespeech.com. For in-person visits I will email you my safety protocol which will need to be reviewed and signed as well. Forms must be completed and returned to me before we can continue with any assessment or therapy activities.
